Let's spread a new holiday around our devinatart! We've all celebrated Valentine's Day, and after a while, it's just that same old day each year that people go around munching on candy and diabetes. We've all had that grade school crush that never noticed us, we try to get his/her attention, we give them candy. But I want to get a new way of celebrating in our school! Valentine's Day has been reformed into a stupid holiday when guys and girls give each other candy with absolutely no meaning. But there is another holiday, this one is a month after Valentine's Day, March 14. It originates in Japan and a few other small Asian countries. It's known as "White Day". This day is not unlike Valentine's Day, but on this day, women and girls give back to their male friends AND lovers. There are 2 types of chocolate given on this day, Giri (obligatory) chocolate, and Honmei (true loves) chocolate. Giri is for your amazing guy friends, that you don't have feelings for. Giri chocolate is usually white chocolate (where the name "White Day" comes from) Honmei chocolate is for that one guy who means everything to you. Expressed with milk/dark chocolate, or chocolate cookies (cookies meaning more). Now don't go and run to buy some chocolate for your friends! On this day, it is most important that you show meaning in your gift. You should...
MAKE THE CHOCOLATE!!!
This can means you just melt some chocolate chips and make some shapes, you can go higher and make a fancy candy, you can put sprinkles, caramel, other chocolates, anything!
Now, this isn't over yet! Guys, when you receive chocolates, it's tradition to give your gifter a gift! It doesn't have to be anything big, heck, you can even give them chocolate in return. This doesn't have to happen on White Day, March 15 is ok. Now i know this has been a long explanation, but I do think we should start this tradition at our school!!! Some of you might be thinking..."How is this different from Valentine's Day?" Well, White Day isn't just about your middle school crush, it's a day to celebrate strong bonds! It's about your friends, your classmates, that one guy on the bus you laugh and joke with! So go! Get out there and make some chocolate! And give our friends a little love. I think that we don't even have to do chocolate, just say "Happy White Day! You're a great friend!!!" Or "Merry White Day! I appreciate all your friendship!" Now, to pass this along, I ask you to please! Please send this to as many people as you'll like, at least ...two! Send it to everyone! Spread this with everyone you can! Let's make this a new DevinatArt Tradition!
(Also this might have some stuff about school, sorry, just change it to dA, I'm trying to get tthis to be a thing at my school.)
